L’Enfant et les sortilèges

from Ravel

Bolstered by huge community success at the Théâtre Paradoxe in February 2023, Ravel’s L’Enfant et les sortilèges, an opera for the whole family, now takes the stage at Théâtre Maisonneuve. Sylvain Scott stage-directs resident artists of the Atelier lyrique who perform with the Orchestre de l’Agora conducted by Nicolas Ellis. This performance will be preceded by the premiere of Le Phare by Laurence Jobidon and Maria Reva. It relates the story of a lonely lighthouse which, after turning off its beam to attract boats to its rocky base, is faced with unforeseen consequences. A production of Opéra de Montréal, in collaboration with Orchestre de l’Agora.
