Bach – Le Voyage Éphémère

L’Orchestre de l’Agora is making its 8th appearance at the Montreal Bach Festival. Together, the two organizations have designed a program that will take you on a journey through the genealogy of the famous composer. The Agora Choir will be featured in a capella works by Johann Christophe Bach and Johann Michael Bach, who were cousins of J.S. Bach. The orchestra will join the choir in performing three magnificent cantatas by the renowned composer. The concert will also showcase soloists Myriam Leblanc, Nicholas Burns, Daniel Johannesen, and Matthias Helm.

The chosen works provide an introspection into the ephemeral journey of our existence through music and texts that are both moving, hopeful, and meditative.
