Mahler : Aurore et crépuscule
In collaboration with Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal
Orchestre de l’Agora is proud to present Mahler : Aurore et crépuscule (Mahler: Dawn and Dusk) in collaboration with Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal! Conducted by Nicolas Ellis, the concert will feature 17 musicians from the OA and five wonderful soloists from the Atelier lyrique de l’OdeM in Gustav Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn, a poignant work floating ambiguously between hope and fatalism.
Recorded at the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, a Montreal emblematic venue, the concert will be broadcasted online on lepointdevente.com as of Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 2 p.m., and available online for two weeks. Des Knaben Wunderhorn‘s poems are sometimes dark, sometimes satirical, sometimes naive and offer a human and true look at deep existential questions.
