The concert program includes an excerpt from Ravel’s Bolero (arranged by Victor Alibert, Agora clarinetist) featuring the musical participation of Share the Warmth kids, and Dvořák’s magnificent Piano Quintet No. 2 in A major with the Orchestre de l’Agora String Quartet and Nicolas Ellis, piano, recorded in Bourgie Hall at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Orchestre de l’Agora is proud to present Mahler : Aurore et crépuscule (Mahler: Dawn and Dusk) in collaboration with Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal! Conducted by Nicolas Ellis, the concert will feature 17 musicians from the OA and five wonderful soloists from the Atelier lyrique de l’OdeM in Gustav Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn, a poignant work floating ambiguously between hope and fatalism.
Orchestre de l’Agora presents its very first benefit concert, with the great Montreal soprano Karina Gauvin, Nicolas Ellis (at the piano for the occasion) and the Orchestre de l’Agora String Quartet.
